This week in our Upper Room series, Pastor Nathan taught from John 14:25–31 and 15:18–16:15, highlighting Jesus’ promise of the Holy Spirit—the Helper, the Spirit of Truth. As Jesus prepared His disciples for the cross, He didn’t deny the reality of coming trouble, sorrow, or hatred from the world. But instead of leaving them in fear, He offered peace and the powerful assurance that the Spirit would guide them through all things, reminding them of His words and helping them walk in obedience and love.
For Mother’s Day, Pastor Nathan compassionately connected these truths to the very real inner struggles many moms carry—feelings of exhaustion, inadequacy, or invisibility. Just as Jesus promised His disciples they wouldn’t be left as orphans, the message to every mother was clear: you are not alone. The Holy Spirit is present, guiding, comforting, and strengthening you day by day.
